About Us

McGrath Properties, Inc. is a real estate investment and development company focused on acquiring underutilized commercial properties. We create substantial value renovating these properties while owning and operating them on a long term basis. As our founder, Terry McGrath says, ''We are in the buy it broken and fix it business.''

In 1996, Terrence McGrath founded McGrath Properties (formerly Aegis Equity Partners). In the past 10 years, we have acquired over 1 million square feet of commercial buildings plus substantial undeveloped land holdings. We own and operate properties through affiliated LLC's with an emphasis in the East Bay. Our diversified portfolio includes office and industrial buildings, parking facilities and undeveloped land.

The fundamental approach of our investment business is to thoroughly understand the specific investment market, buy the asset at the right price, add value to the real estate and then let time go to work. We invest significant amounts of our own money into all the properties we acquire.
